NEEDLES IN SPACE

Project West Ford was a hairbrained attempt to envelop our planet with copper needles which portended severe danger to Earth while allaying General’s fantasies about protecting us from Russia.

I do not claim to know the science involved, but Googling Project West Ford will fill in this blank.

The paranoid illusion led to such expert angst that on planet Thiaoouba, an expert intervention led to the removal of the bulk of the West Ford needles from the litter that was already turning space into a garbage dump.

In effect, Thiaoouba, a planet of distinction that lies at the end of our galaxy, saved us from consequences that we failed to be aware of. This largesse was added to other saving acts by Thiaoouba which took place when earlier civilizations, presently unacknowledged by our academic elites, were developing civilizations here far beyond the level present inhabitants of Earth have attained. These early civilizations had space craft, gravity-cancellation, telepathy and other advances that are no longer possible in a world imprisoned by money and violence.

We can have hope in a gradual turning of consciousness toward a humane and compassionate Spirituality. We can hope in this very century that a sea change can take place.

Failing that, project West Ford will be remembered as a sign of a world where paranoia underlay a fatal arms build up that continues as we speak. Let us hope the shift can win the race.
