Trump is the person John Belushi would emulate if he was assigned the part of a character assassin in the clothing of a harmless fool. He would be given an award for going serious, because he would evoke what is true: the same boy whose childhood impulses were toward destruction and who nearly threw an opponent from a school dorm window; whose money and manner enabled him to put up a good front in raucous Manhattan; and whose instinctive grasp of marketing cons and mind control coalesce to create via TV a format made to make assassination his underlying theme. Character assassination and implicit assassination of anyone deemed an enemy. People say his numbers fall. This is a noxious force who CANNOT BE COUNTED OUT until he is rendered impotent to damage us all. Rejected at the polls, roundly and completely.
