When I watch the pathetic power games of Russia and China, and our timid responses, I think of the democratic revolution in the hearts of millions in both of these regions. All states are obsolete and will be transformed in time. What will remain is the fruition of the centuries-long struggle already underway, invisible to leaders who believe they can continue to emulate the binary thinking and militaristic power politics of the past. Nonviolent democratic revolution is the destiny of the entire planet.
