The next time Jesus spoke to Abba, he showed rare alarm. It was in his voice. His eyes. Even the way his body seemed to shrink into itself.
He explained.
“Abba, someone from the synagogue heard me saying a prayer to you and stopped me in the middle and demanded to know what I was doing. I was so frightened that I ran. I ran here.”
“I can tell.”
“Abba, what should I do?”
“You should believe me. You should believe how large a thing this is. You should believe that you are experiencing exactly what anyone can experience if they do exactly as you are doing. You were stopped for behaving as you should. As everyone should.”
