Endlessness

Parentheses of life

Everything Comes

Parentheses of life

enfold us in mystery

On one side what is there

and on the other

what’s not yet

+

So prideful is our view

that we make claims to see

what we can only guess

and then make claims to know

what we suppose

+

Then we may look within

and spy what’s floating there

then turn it into words

and useful games

+

A circuitous process

we call consciousness

amid deep breaths

+

And then we long to feel

wind on our face

and maybe try to catch

a hint of grace
