PERSISTENT HOWLING WIND

Stephen C. Rose
Everything Comes

--

Thus Dylan Consciousness meets Harmony

We all know that Atom doom is rife

Already here on Earth its has occurred

And other planets fall for atom games

And mostly they all end the same

2

History’s cycle rests upon our choices

Few are those who heed the wiser voices

Going for stumbling corpses aimless, lost

Deformed, starving, unable to see

Once level-heads no longer

3

We had more advancement then than now

Fine weapons, flight, dokos, advanced degrees

But atom bombs cancelled prehistory

No trace remains of wonders we once built

Only wind and echoes of wind’s howl

4

Low level planets like our Earth don’t know

We did not invent this holocaust

It was a challenge many planets faced

Prehistory remains mostly untraced

None are left alive to count the cost

5

Oh yes, we do design nuclear fates

Over 1,000,000’s of years with no abate

Yet we could flip it with one silent revolution

Peace is the only way to be involved

Better peaceful ways than howling fate
