There is no proving the afterlife

There is no proving life after death

There is no proving my I love you

Nothing that’s subjective can be proved

Truth lies in what you can touch and see

There is no illusion strong enough

To erase materiality

Therefore we’re condemned to draw a blank

Or to say that we must live by faith

Or by what we have experienced

Or by inner proof that love prevails
