Revisiting Moments as a result

Between this and an explanatory piece I read in the NYT I am almost a convert. I have stock in the company and this seems more likely than I suspected to help things in that department. But more importantly I care about Twitter as one of those 24/7 A power users. I intend now to go back and look again. I want to see how easy it is to use. My first impression was that it was not so easy. Assuming it is easy to use (usability still reigns) I will not amend this. Congratulations if this can be seen as a true change moment.

OK Some comments:

I still do not see how it is that one could integrate something into a feed. I have no interest in doing that but think the option should be plain if it exists. Maybe a how does this work box with appropriate links.

I think there should be a Thoughts category to cover everything that is in the evergreen, intellectual or ideas area. This would enable folk like me to feel that once in a while their efforts might surface. This might also include stuff from Medium — writers, book references and so forth. Apart from that I find the present curations not exactly pins-and-needles evocative. That is partly because breaking news seems to me a substitute for journalism, not an evolution of it. I would look for more investigative and explanatory pieces. These are scattered about daily online but require a bit of looking. I am writing as an editor and a journalist, two pursuits I have followed during a 50 year-or-so run. The best editor I ever knew of was a Globe editor named Tom Winship. Model after him.
