SHAKESPEARE IN HEAVEN
Shakespeare travels to his plays
You would if you were he
He gets there at the speed of sound
All done invisibly
2
Except sometimes he has a date
Then chosen bodies show
And they share telepathically
And how those comments flow
3
They laugh at the Oxfordians
And other intellects
Perched high at performances of
Romeo and Juliet
4
When asked about these little trips
He says they’re infrequent
They can become a ruddy bore
But he is glad he went
5
Does he create still in Heaven
For fun For fun says he
I have a growing trove of them
And friends who act with me
6
Heaven is very close to earth
And people don’t change much
Most do what they’ve always done
Secure in Heaven’s love
