Shakespeare Understood Us Better Than We Do

He knew we are just players

and this is a charade

(Oh real for sure

with corpuscles to prove it)

The truth proclaimed in myriad ways

but prideful minds refuse it

He knew we play at killing

and then have a parade

(And heartfelt tears

though some refuse to do it)

He gave us Falstaff to be truth

We found him most amusing

We lionize the Bard still

but he remains unmade

(Bloom tried a while

Perhaps we need a qubit)

Maybe some Shakespeare in the wings
