Silence

Like cold sheets, the night air wraps around us,

your voice hangs in the sky with the stars,

and the moon reflects it back to me,

and I lay there,

contented by the vibrations coming from inside you,

capturing every word, letter, syllable,

and letting them rest in my ears for a bit,

Your sound fades into a lull and the words stop flowing,

Quiet tip-toes around me and my thoughts,

I feel silence lay between us,

and I realize I like this as much as hearing your voice.
