THE LAST WORLD WAR

The last world war will be the one that didn’t happen

Too many loose ends on all sides frustrate play

And so we wisely choose a better way

We know the last three war-tries were a bust

Deadly combat became suicide

Deadly weapons now spread death with wind

And bingo Heaven’s nearing. Here it comes

The war we’re facing is the Last World War

It’s going to work like this if things go well

Shameful invasion will be met by shaming

And victors won’t emerge on any side

Over time we’ll start to see an answer

Opinion will veer slightly toward what’s right

A warless world will not be so remote

A shift that somehow finds a truthful drift
