Jesus faced his biggest hurdle first. Hardly anyone noticed, save his closest friend and companion. Jesus did not share deep things with anyone. Even as he grew into a man, his seismic moments were largely secret to the world outside.

The biggest hurdle he confronted as a child was his own death. Jesus knew before he had wiped blood off his first skinned knee that he was going to die young and spend his few years largely as a hunted criminal. His silence came from a desire to live without thinking of such things. He was a curious boy. More than anything he needed to know what was going on. He had no desire to speak of things he knew within himself.

Abba of course knew. The time when they discussed the matter was short.
