THE PARTICLE ZOO

The particle zoo was once

Known as the atom

A vibrating light show

That we have exploded

To reveal those atoms

As particle zoos

The upshot is we know

Higgs Boson exists

Explaining the Field

We surmised all along

A vibrating center

That fills all of space

And enables us to

Surmise all we knew

The Higgs Field is real

And it moves us along

Explaining how quantum

Is not inconsistent

With all the material

We celebrate

But otherwise sadly

The world creeps along

Largely oblivious

To this new song

+

It resonates well

With the story CERN tells

+

The textures of spirit

Reside within matter

Along with the wisdom

We typically shatter

As leaders and others

Look backward and wonder

Try bending your hand

And then go to your mind

And then ask yourself

Why is this such a bind

Think beyond everything

And you will find

A reason we’re speeding

Called Evolving Time
