THEY’LL COME FOR ME WHEN THEY ARE READY

Everything Comes

--

There is heaven and then there is me

Or you or us or all — it’s all the same

We all play a free part in our fortune

But down here some memories don’t work

+

The time of our death is sort of fixed though

We can hasten it by being dumb

But as souls embarked upon decided roles

We all end up back where we are from

+

So we should not be so afraid to die

Sometimes it seems we’re making undue haste

Best be aware that heaven is the “flip side” *

Ergo life is impossible to waste
