Trump’s Evil

Trump was probably mainly evil from a long time back

Evil being hurt and harm that is conscious

Like many awful things we learn from events like Trump

We become more alert and active

The thing about this odd country is we don’t cave to tyrants

And even the most evil are not beyond projecting their evil onto their enemies

Thus John Wilkes Booth shouting Sic semper tyrannus as he slaughtered Lincoln

We shall survive Trump and perhaps be better for it

Why

Because he is right about many things

But he is also mean and nasty and hurtful and harming

And this is conscious

And when this is the case the stricture on not judging is lifted

We MUST judge

Trump will be brought down by law unless he manages to rig the courts

If he actually retains power we will be engaged in a protracted struggle and even those of us who are nonviolent will suffer

That’s fine

We have poor veterans committing suicide daily because they fell to the same evil forces that Trump now represents

Some of us should be glad to fall before one whose spite is palpable and whose record was clear before whoever voted for him believed his damnable lies
