VIOLENT DEATH

1

I dreamed I killed a man

A violent death

Without hesitation

Without discernable reason

2

It happened vividly

Quite a rarity

Perhaps from a past life

Karma might well be the reason

3

That might be why I flinch

At sudden movements

Someone remarked one time

On my violent expression

4

I’m willing to believe

My nonviolence

Has roots in violence

Should I give up on perfection

5

Perfection still exists

This world’s still a stage

We are still forgiven

Perfect is still our direction
