That arm you have will be remade in seven years

So will the rest of you

And me if I should last that long

We are not our bodies

We occupy them

They become us in their way

We are not our bodies

We are simple and unchanging

Selves in search of selfhood realized

Who are we then

Just said it

Consciousness

Awareness

I

Words slip and slide

Failure is always mutual

Only one thing does not fail

That’s the Name you call when all else fails

And then you get the keywords that remain

Even after science is no more

We are not our bodies

That that doesn’t mean they are not precious fun exasperating and cool

It just means that we are more so and we survive
