What Shall We Call Ourselves Then?

Oh call us renegades

or not affiliated

Call us citizens of no country that is here yet

Call us free from the need to attend

or react or be concerned

until someone is hurt.

Renegade non-affiliate

sans country.

Freely choose to heed

or let all hurtless cries pass on.

When I inquire for something that makes sense

the only thing that does are things that do

like a hand up

or caring

or a passing kiss.

We live in

a fortress made of

unrepented death-dealing

blessed by nonpartisan acceptance

of the same

by people we elected

half-consciously.

Without monasticism

we shall make do with

consciousness.

That is the only change we need.
