Writer’s Block 2 —Sonnet

Everything Comes

--

If no one cares truth is too hard to face

Your block arises from a common sense

You lapse into a recognized disgrace

Against which weakness lacks a sure defense

Then comes salvation which you can’t explain

Your name will not be in fame’s pantheon

But your expression helps you to stay sane

And somehow you find yourself writing on

For someone who remains unknown to you

She’s resonating with your honest cry

And there you are doing what you best do

Without the slightest need to wonder why

Contented with an audience of one

I’m glad to finish all that I’ve begun

A Note on the Form

This is the most concise form of argument. Triadic at that. Three four line sections each one standing as itself but related sequentially. A two line conclusion that follows in context and suggests action.
