Kaznarah Andrinarivo Shares His Academic Story
Here is the highlight
When you hear ENI Fianarantsoa, you hear “crazy genius students” and “difficult entrance exams”. Yet, my guest Kaznarah Andrianarivo (LinkedIn Profile here) got in. The interview was in Malagasy so you’ll get an English subtitle later.
Who is Kaznarah
Kaznarah, or Kazz for close friends, grew up in Vohipeno. A city in the Vatovavy Fitovinany region in Madagascar. He went to Lycee Ste Genevieve Vohipeno to get his primary and secondary education.
Currently, he’s a third-year computer science student at ENI (Ecole Nationale d’Informatique) Fianarantsoa.
In addition to getting accepted into the most challenging school in Madagascar, he achieved a math score of 92.5/100 in his baccalaureate exam.
His secret weapon? A lot of practice with his high school math teacher, Mahita Bertin.
He’s also very active in LinkedIn, sharing current projects and achievements. His current mentor, Henimbola Tsihala, advised him to make a to-do list instead of a rigorous schedule, unless the task has a precise timeline to follow. And it makes Kazz happier.
His motto is “Only Quality People”. Whether it’s a friend, an acquaintance, or a LinkedIn network, he looks for somebody who can grow with him. While in college, he started befriending senior students to learn from them. He’s an active member of TechZara Fianarantsoa. A community of people who love sharing about technology.
Why he chose computer science?
He got into video games in Grade 8. Once he knew making games could be a real job, he dreamed of becoming a game developer in a big studio.
From doing Internet search, he found ENI. He also learned that a classmate of one of his siblings is studying at ENI.
While many students apply to different universities and colleges, Kazz put all his effort into ENI. And he got in!
He believes students aspiring to be developers should have a lot of patience, because it’s a long journey. They should also be always ready for challenges and like to share their knowledge.
