If you enjoy 10-word or 20-word stories, you’ve come to the right place! Personally, I have fun writing them to help celebrate holidays. For instance, you may fondly recall the 20-word stories I shared in October for Halloween. :)

Well — now it’s December, and all the autumn ghosts and goblins are laying low. It’s high time we extend the many micro-story challenges in Medium to hail the winter holidays!

Here are my five 10-word stories for Christmas:

Warning: The last two may have double meaning suitable for adults only. : <)

  1. They carol off-key until hot cocoa sweetens their pitch.
  2. Arguing half-melted, Frosty realizes counting to ten doesn’t work.
  3. Santa ordered extra coal lumps to receive free Amazon shipping.
  4. Her cookies burned while he kissed her under the mistletoe.
  5. She inflates his Santa when they embrace on the lawn.
