What genre(s) do you focus on?
I don’t think I have a genre! I’m an all-over-the-place writer who has no hesitation to jump on a prompt if it tickles my fancy, reminds me of past times or allows me to take a stance on a global issue.
I’ve written about my childhood memories, my work in healthcare as a nurse/teacher, travel and musical experiences, writing qualms, and ‘$hit happens’ moments. My furry felines, family and friends are also frequently featured in my scribes.
When did you start writing?
Before the pandemic took over our lives, I joined Toastmasters to get out of the house and explore a nagging desire to get back into something I loved. I met the challenge of writing, delivering speeches, and thinking on my feet for their impromptu table topics at each meeting with gusto — until they turned into zoom meetings.
