Recipe for Grilled Eggplant

1. Charcoal fire, hot.
2. As many slender eggplants as you can eat.
3. Take a fork and make holes in the eggplants all over, less than a screen door, more than swiss cheese.
4. Put the eggplants on the grill, cover and turn until they’re mushy and black all over (or more black than they were before).
5. If you can be patient, sprinkle some salt and drizzle with the best fucking olive oil you can afford.
