Every so often in bookselling, you get a week where every other customer seems to be after the same book. A few months ago it was War on the West by Douglas Murray (don’t get me started on how frustrating that was), and then The Murders at Fleat House by Lucinda Riley (this was fine and inoffensive) and more recently, Revenge by Tom Bower.

The hype around this just happened to correspond with the weary aftermath of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The cynical Republican I am would probably say the publication date was more than planned. With his latest biography, Tom Bower aimed to reveal the truth behind the collapse in relations between the Sussexes (Megan and Harry) and the rest of the Royal Family.

It’s no secret that Megan has received constant bashing by the tabloid press. She was accused of being responsible for the collapse of relations between Harry and the rest of the family, being a controlling partner, and making Kate Middleton cry. The press made her out to be a bully, a homewrecker and an enemy of the Queen. In his book, Bower aims to reveal all.
