Anybody else have a case of fan fever when someone who is a way better writer than you reads and responds to your work? I’ve been writing professionally for 30+ years and still got giddy when Tim Denning recently clapped and highlighted one of my stories. And last month Ayodeji Awosika actually followed me AND clapped for a story. Wait, come to think of it, I get giddy every time ANYBODY claps or responds to my work.

All of that is to point out two things: Your responses to other people’s stories matter to them as well as to the bots that control the writing world. Also, there are people on every platform who do nothing more than drop words and leave. Not cool, dudes. Not cool.

When I discover those peeps I unfollow.
