As an editor I gotta tell you, being courteous matters.

I don’t want to be loved by everyone,

or even liked by most people.

I don’t care whether writers follow me back or not

but silence after my making the effort to read

and then post/publish your work,

total silence in return,

strikes me as rude,

but worse,

kind stupid and poor SNA

(Systems Negotiation Ability).
