Azov commander upholds soldiers’ lives as Russia agrees to withdraw wounded fighters from Azovstal.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced an agreement to withdraw wounded Ukrainian fighters who are entrenched in the Azovstal steel plant, the last bastion of Ukrainian resistance in the port city of Mariupol.

According to Reuters, Ukrainian authorities have so far not confirmed any agreement.

The Russian statement mentions this is the result of negotiations with representatives of the Ukrainian military who are hiding in a network of tunnels on the perimeter of that gigantic industrial complex.
