Because squirrels dig me, I’m pretty sure my neighbor doesn’t.

Screw him and his perfect lawn. I’m going to keep feeding these critters because they need to eat, too. Especially as we launch into a frigid Chicago winter.

Now I’m pretty sure there are people here who don’t want squirrels scampering around their yards hiding nuts and other goodies dispensed by an animal-loving softy, like me, but I just can’t help myself.

Sometimes, when I’m doing dishes, I’ll look out at the yard and there will be my favorite squirrel sitting on its haunches looking at me with what I can only surmise to be affection…
