There’s so very much to unpack here, and most of it won’t be clear for months or even years. Some parents are allegedly going to unusual lengths, including hiring “domestic workers” who are really tutors — something I absolutely believe as I’ve personally seen them hire their own translators to yell at the foreign staff in those teaching centers.
