Did I predict the Omicron variant two months ago? Sort of, though not exactly. A little over two months ago, I wrote a rant about how giving COVID booster shots in the United States while the entire continent of Africa was at only 3% immunized (mainly because of a lack of vaccine doses) was both selfish and insane.
I listed multiple reasons, though a new variant was admittedly not one of them. Still, all of the points remain valid, and you can read the rant below. I hate it when I’m semi-prophetic.
