Have you ever seen My Life starring Michael Keaton? He’s diagnosed with cancer and only given a few months to live. His wife is pregnant. He decides to create a video diary for his unborn child.

I’ve been writing emails to my daughter. She doesn’t have access to it yet. One day we’re going to give her access and let her read all of it. It’s a fun exercise, but also terrifying. Will my advice be dated? Will my attitude change? Who knows — but it will be fun to read one day.

I should probably say, I’m not dying (not that I know of). My wife and I thought this would be fun to do.
