How would you feel if someone stole your article, copied it to their own website, and added ‘Source: Medium’?

Regardless of whether or not they credited your name, you might feel peeved — it’s a breach of your copyright and they didn’t ask permission first. That’s how I’d feel anyway.

Why then, do so many writers think it’s acceptable to steal photos off the internet and credit the source ‘Bing’, as if that somehow exempts them from copyright laws? It doesn’t.

Show some respect for photographers. Don’t use their work without permission. There’s a reason Medium prohibits the use of copyrighted images…
