In the state of North Carolina, where I live and vote, unaffiliated voters outnumber both Republicans and Democrats.
I am one of the Unaffiliated and I can’t see myself ever joining a party again. I’ll never say never — but can’t see it unless our political system changes. I never liked cliques.
Currently, in NC we have 2.5 million voters registered as Unaffiliated, to 2.4 million Democrats and 2.2 million Republicans (and a smattering of other parties I do not include here.)
