Is anyone else experiencing this new bit of weirdness, here?

So, I’m checking my personal alerts, you know, with the bell thingy next to my profile pic and what do I see? A string of highlighted story excerpts from a reader, not one of mine, mind you. And the comments referenced another writer’s story. As in not one of mine.

Now, why the hell do I give a toss what Joe Blow highlighted and why? What in the ever-loving F is going on?
