Last month, a local story about two small dogs that went missing after a rollover accident got a happy ending. The dogs were inside a truck that rolled over several times at an intersection between two busy highways. Their owner watched them run off into the desert.

Search parties formed and set up feeding stations that were baited with fresh food and water daily. Someone donated an ATV. The location was steep and rocky.

The first dog was found after eight days in the desert, somehow not becoming a coyote’s dinner. The search for the second dog never stopped. After weeks with no news, we all assumed the worst.
