They say that art is in the eye of the beholder but perhaps the more accurate phrase would be art enjoyment is in the perception of the beholder. Can the eye of the beholder ever truly see the depth of the experience the artist has shared?

Just yesterday I had a conversation with fellow writer, Kristy Westaway, about how our writing is perceived. Different artform, same experience. At least with books, we’re not releasing the one and only copy of our soul. Everyone can have a piece of us. Wait… Ok, that’s a whole new thought to travel down!
