Park rangers helped an abandoned rooster find a new home after it was left at a park in northern Nevada. We were driving through the park when some visitors flagged us down. They told us a rooster was living in the picnic area!

We went over there with them to see the rooster and decided we should catch it and find it a new home.

The rooster had been dumped in the park — it was close to water and had the grassy area to itself. We were surprised it survived as long as it did, with the predators we had in the area, including coyotes and bobcats!
