Remembering Whitney Houston and her incredible Super Bowl performance.
For years, I’ve made the argument that we should change our national anthem to either “Stars and Stripes Forever,” or “America The Beautiful.”
Whitney Houston’s incredible performance of the “Star Spangled Banner” at 1991’s Super Bowl 25 is one of the few counterarguments one could make. It is the bar against which all other versions are measured. Good luck to whomever has the mic tonight.
…and it is with sad irony that today marks 12 years since we lost her.
