Should airlines require employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19? Southwest recently announced that is working to get all its employees vaccinated. United’s CEO wants to make it mandatory.

Other carriers haven’t quite gone that far…yet. (disclosure: I work for an airline)

But should they? Should it become a term of employment? On the one hand, I can see it lowering liability and being a huge PR move. On the other, I see a firestorm from employees worried about their autonomy. There is some precedent, with healthcare workers required to get flu shots, but this is a new disease and a new issue for airlines.
