Susan’s dares: Options for escape appeared little to none, but Susan’s gut told her Betsinger might want to share a solution to her predicament. She removed the cloth from his mouth and sat him up against the wall.
“I know a way out but it won’t be easy.”
“All ears here, bucko,” Susan responded.
“The guards will blast the door. You could use the cargo entry, but it’s covered with thick brush right now. They’ll be coming at ground level. The only way they won’t be looking is up.”
Susan hoped he wouldn’t suggest some ‘Batman’ or ‘Mission Impossible’ escape, but she entertained his idea. She said, “Go on.”
“Go through the storage space on top of the office. There’s a convenient opening to the roof there for adjusting the communication and security settings. It’s your best chance to grab a branch or jump and run.”
