There is something magical about finding comfort in things from my past. Whether it’s rewatching old TV shows, indulging in my favorite childhood meals, or rereading beloved books, there’s a sense of nostalgia that transports me back to simpler times.

It’s familiar. And it makes me feel safe and loved.

It’s easy to get lost in the world of nostalgia and crave the near freedom I had then — freedom from bills, aches, and general world-ending trauma. For me, the coziness of nostalgia is a reminder that even in the midst of chaos and uncertainty, I can always find comfort in the memories of the past.

But eventually, I (and everyone else who feels the pull of the past) must return to the present.

And you never know, ten years from now, we may be nostalgic about this era.
