Today (4th February) is World Cancer Day. It is a day on which we remember those we have loved and lost to cancer, think of those who are still battling the disease, and thank those who continue to search for new treatments and, ultimately, a cure.

I was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer in 2012, and I am one of the fortunate folks for whom the disease was discovered in time to save my life (and both my breasts). Others are not so lucky. This World Cancer Day, please take a moment’s pause for cancer patients and their families and, if you can, donate to a cancer charity in your part of the world.
