Bus-Driver next to a Porsche-Driver
I was traveling in a rickshaw.

The joke’s on me.
It was a beautiful Sunday and I was going to an open-mic. The open-mic was about poetry, story-telling, music, and stand-up comedy. Out of the four, I only have a bit of confidence in poetry. So, without any preparation, I went. I left my hostel and was waiting by the side of the road for a rickshaw.
After waiting for a few minutes, a rickshaw approached and I boarded it. In the midst of traveling, we had to stop at a traffic signal. I was sitting in the rickshaw so that my eyes were seeing the traffic from behind. And then I saw it, a Porsche Cayenne, such beauty was standing only a few meters from me. But then something happened. A bus came ‘vroom-vroom’ and parked next to the Porsche.
It was a WOW scenario. Two people in two different vehicles living two different lives. A Porsche driver VS a bus driver.

This may be nothing for you. You might be like, okay he is rich and he is poor. What’s the big deal? Why would you write an article about it? There are billions of such cases and people.

Although, this made me think. Yes, they are living two distinct lives. One is rich and the other poor. One with desires and the other with necessities. No matter the material or desire difference, both of them looked the same to me. Okay, I admit it, the bus driver was wearing sunglasses. But, they are the same. Why do they live such opposite lives then? Who made one rich and the poor?
What I am about to tell applies to the Darwinian theory as well as the religious theories. My point is, no matter where do you think humans came from, whether heaven or a single cell, the following is independent of any theory.
So, here it is:
Let’s start from the beginning when humans were just naked, leaves-wearing animal-hunting cave people. At that time, we started fresh. There were no biases and no prejudices. There was no day-job and no weekend. No Google or no Instagram. Women didn’t worry about make-up and men about muscle-up. Most importantly, there was no middle class. All of these things were not there.

What was there was to live and stay together and survive. There were wild animals, natural disasters, and other important things to worry about rather than uploading a picture of what you ate at Taco Bell. People used to hunt and roast animals together, like a family. Staying with each other was far better than staying alone. They spent quality time, not on a smartphone, but in the mud, by the cliff, in the cave, under the sun, and anywhere possible. It was a golden and happy time.
This arises a question. Where in the hell did we lose our minds?
Actually, multiple questions. What happened? Why are there lower, middle, and upper classes today? Why are there rich and poor today? Why do we have an Economy and a Business class on a fight? Why do certain people with power and money get away with crimes while a middle-class guy rots in jail for a simple crime he did in helplessness? Why do we have VIPs or VVIPs? Why do we have to fight so hard for equality and feminism? Isn’t equality a birth-right?
So, we have this equation:
Equal People + {Something Happened} → Fucked-up People
We were all same and we still are then why is there a Porsche driver next to a bus driver? Why is one in an AC and the other sweating away?
Where did humans go wrong? Where did we fuck-up?
Is it the money?
Power?
Have we stopped respecting humanity? Have we forgotten human emotions?
Is it all about profit and loss?
Did you know that this generation, the millennials, is considered the worst generation of all? Go and google it. After you have done, come back here.
Why is this generation the worst?
I am not asking for an answer because we already know why. I am pitying us. Where and what have we gotten ourselves in to? Are we damaged beyond repair now? Is there no redemption from this? Who knows what else is there we are going to lose?

We were not the ones who started this. I know that. Our ancestors made these rules and classes. They formulated these governments for good or bad but we have to deal with the consequences now.
Those times when people did not know for good, bad people took advantage of their obliviousness and made them believe in things that weren’t even there. For what? For their own benefit.
We don’t have to repeat the same mistakes our ancestors made.
Our ancestors realized that we were not equal and they weaponized it. They created strong and crushed the weak. They created wealthy and made slaves of the poor. They created famously and created fans out of bright minds. Yes, I know no one is holding us to stay this way but can we escape this?
Can you go out tomorrow and change how society works? Maybe you can. But you will have to sacrifice your whole life. Are you ready to do that?
Mistakes have been made but it is our job now to make the world a better place to live. You don’t have to give away a complete life. We all can do a little more and a little is a lot when combined.
We don’t have to repeat the same mistakes our ancestors made.
We can be better.
We can make a difference.
It all starts with YOU.
Maybe we are beyond help but if we all could give little pieces to the world, who knows…
