Today I drove into Denver to photograph the Protect Our Muslim Neighbors Rally at Civic Center Park in downtown Denver. Hosted by Queen Phonix the leader and organizer of Community for Peace. A peaceful collective of neighbors focused on administrative, environmental, social, and educational reform. Their goal is to provide a safe space for people of all colors, cultures, ages, physical abilities, gender expressions, orientations, and spiritualities.

Mayor Hancock speaking along side a group of local high school students.

The event went very peacefully. No confrontations with law enforcement at all. Denver Mayor Michael Hancock even made an appearance to speak. Voicing loud and clear that the muslim people were welcome in Denver. The event lasted about three hours as many spoke, sang, and read poetry on stage.

The energy present at this gathering of beautiful humans was powerful. Moving words was expressed with great passion. Not only was President Trump put on the chopping block but there was no glorifying of Barrack Obama either. It was expressed clearly that hundreds of Muslim civilians were killed by drone strikes ordered by President Obama.
