San Mateo, California, January 21, 2020 — Artificial intelligence (AI) technology company Evisort has appointed Silicon Valley tech sales veteran Mark Stephenson as Chief Customer Officer (CCO), a newly-created position. The addition of Mark to the Evisort C-Suite is a bold strategic move for the company, further sharpening its focus on providing successful outcomes for corporate and legal customers.

Mark’s hire comes one month after Evisort closed a $15 million Series A funding round led by Vertex Ventures and M12, Microsoft’s venture fund, with participation by Amity Ventures and Serra Ventures. Evisort’s business objectives are to scale to $100 million in annual recurring revenue and maximize profitability, and Mark’s leadership will be essential in achieving these goals.

Overseeing marketing, sales and customer success, Mark will have complete accountability to build strategy and execution around the full customer lifecycle. He will help clients optimize use of Evisort’s “google for contracts” software-as-a-service (SaaS) contract analytics solution which has embedded AI capability to read and understand meaning in legal documents like contracts. Mark will help clients create greater agility and effectiveness around how contracts and legal documents are generated, approved, processed and renewed.
