Gm to all our Namers, and welcome to our long awaited Airdrop announcement! This post will cover all details related to our project’s native utility, treasury, and governance token: $EVD. Let’s get started. ☕️

Distribution

Since our launch, we’ve seen over 16,000 registrations for .evmos domains by over 13,000 unique registrants! Upon carefully deliberating on fair distribution and taking all community suggestions into consideration, we designed what we believe is fair distribution and tokenomics for all Evmos Domain users.

$EVD’s total token supply will be 10,000,000. 40% of this will be distributed over 3 airdrops spanning 6 months. 40% will be farmed on Evmos’s highest-liquidity DEX, Diffusion, over the course of 2 years for the $EVMOS/$EVD pool. The final 20% will be allocated to a treasury funding community contributions to Evmos Domains!

Airdrops

To strike a balance between proportionately rewarding both early and late adopters, we’ll be distributing the Airdrops in the following way:

Airdrop #1:

Percentage of total Airdrop: 50%
Snapshot date: September 28th 2022 00:00:00 UTC
Distribution date: October 1st 2022 00:00:00 UTC
Claim period end: November 1st 2022 00:00:00 UTC

Domain Holders (40%) — This portion will be distributed to domain NFT holders based on each domain’s length and number of years the domain is registered for. This means 3 and 4 character domains receive much more of an airdrop than 5 character domains (128x and 32x respectively), and that time held, number of years, and character lengths serve as scalar multiplier references for the Airdrop received.
Registrants (20%) — This portion will be distributed to accounts that directly register on Evmos Domains, and the distribution for this 20% will also be skewed to benefit earlier registrants. This means: the earlier a domain was registered, the more of this airdrop’s 20% the account (that registered it) receives. Like domain holders, this distribution will also be scaled using domain length.

OrbitalApes (10%) — This portion will go to those who are active with our partner project, OrbitalApes. 2.5% will be distributed to buyers and sellers of domains on OrbitMarket, 2.5% will be distributed to OrbitalApes holders with a primary domain name set, and 5% will go to an unannounced OA project we’ll update this post with next week!
Stakers (10%) — This portion will go to stakers of EVMOS (100 minimum)
Team (10%) — This portion will be allocated to the Evmos Domains team. 1% will be available at the time of the airdrop, and the remaining 9% will be evenly released over 2 years.
Contributors (2.5%) — This portion will reward the users of our Contributor’s program. Like the team’s portion, 0.25% will be released at the time of the airdrop, and the remaining 2.25% will be evenly released over 2 years.
Testnet users (2.5%) — This portion will be distributed to testnet registrants.
Discord users (5%) — This portion will be distributed to active Discord users (3%), server boosters (1%), and users with an “Early” tag (1%). To be eligible, your discord username must be set to the .evmos domain you’d like the airdrop to go to.

Airdrops 2 and 3 will follow the same distribution criteria with 2 minor differences: Testnet registrants and “Early” role discord users will only be eligible for the 1st airdrop. In the 2nd and 3rd, the “Early” users’ 1% will be allocated to active discord users, and the Testnet users’ 2.5% will be allocated to the Treasury. The start time for all duration-specific criteria for both subsequent airdrops will be reset to the beginning of the previous airdrop’s snapshot, and their percentages will be revealed after the first airdrop is complete.

Airdrop #2:

Percentage of total Airdrop: 30%
Snapshot date: December 28th 2022 00:00:00 UTC
Distribution date: January 15th 2023 00:00:00 UTC
Claim period end: February 15th 2023 00:00:00 UTC

Airdrop #3:

Percentage of total Airdrop: 20%
Snapshot date: March 28th 2023 00:00:00 UTC
Distribution date: April 15th 2023 00:00:00 UTC
Claim period end: May 15th 2023 00:00:00 UTC

Farming

As mentioned above, liquidity farming on Diffusion will distribute 40% of the total token supply (4,000,000 $EVD) over 2 years. In addition to $EVD, liquidity providers will also receive $DIFF distributions.

Farming will begin immediately upon the 1st airdrop, and distribution curve details will be posted beforehand!

DAO

All tokens unclaimed by each airdrop’s claim period end will enter a treasury whose distribution will be voted on by $EVD holders to Evmos Domains contributors! This will also serve as a hub for general voting on the future direction of Evmos Domains!

Note: The treasury is allocated 20% of the total $EVD supply up front, along with 2.5% of the last 2 airdrops; all unclaimed $EVD will be added to this existing supply.
