The Evmos Domains mainnet launch

The Evmos mainnet has successfully launched and it’s been running smoothly for weeks. We’re excited to release all the details related to our final mainnet launch! In this post, we’ll be outlining the preregistration, pricing model, and the final timeline for Evmos Domains. Let’s get started! 🚀

Pre-registration (June 7th-June 10th) 💪

To keep initial name distribution as fair as possible, the Evmos Domains launch will be preceded by a 3-day pre-registration period.

Beginning June 7th 2022 at 00:00 UTC, domains will initially sell with a premium (on their actual prices) that will, over the course of 3 days, reduce to 0. With this premium decay price model, the scaled price paid at any time during pre-registration can be calculated by the following:

As the prices of all names reduce over these 3 days, competition will simulate an auction, and names will be registered for the highest price a bidder is willing to pay.

This premium will also be displayed in the Evmos Domains interface during pre-registration, and all mainnet registrations will use the main app interface that the Evmos Domains testnet app does.

During pre-registration, all payments made during this period will be staked on our partner Orbital Apes’s validator and honorary names will be given to select partners and contributors.

The Pricing Model 🤑

For one week from June 10th to June 17th, immediately following pre-registration, all unregistered domains will be discounted 10%.

Integration 🤝

After the mainnet launch, we’ll be working closely with OrbitalApes to integrate trading name NFTs on their store, Orbit Market, and we’ll begin sharing our commissions on those trades with our partners, as outlined in our Partnership Program post!
