Featuring Cronus: A DeFi Hub on Evmos

We are excited to highlight another project early in the Evmos ecosystem, Cronus, a DeFi hub with the DEX already live on Evmos. Cronus aims to be the DeFi Hub on Evmos by integrating with many other projects in the Evmos ecosystem and positioning themselves to be the first point of contact to onboard users both the Cosmos and EVM ecosytems. Deep liquidity also helps lay the foundation to bootstrap future DeFi protocols and dApps.

Why Cronus?

Aside from having high amounts of liquidity and dynamic partnerships with native Evmos projects, Cronus aims to differentiate itself through focusing on improving the UI/UX experience for users in their features and having a strong suite of products to create value and utility for the $CRN token.

A take on the battle-tested Uniswap V2, Cronus aims to bootstrap and fast-track EVMOS with a series of features that stray from your typical DEX, such as paying out staking rewards in stablecoins rather than its native token, as well as introducing its own Stableswap to tackle liquidity fragmentation. Cronus ultimate goal is to ensure the Evmos ecosystem has a trustworthy and reliable DEX that maintains a high level of communication and receptivity to community input.

Cronus already allows users to swap and add or create liquidity pools. They have also worked on supporting bridged assets from their bridge partners, namely Nomad (and thus, Connext), Multichain and Celer cBridge to make the initial deployment of capital on the chain as easy and seamless as possible, without the risk of heavy arbitrage or the lack of any form of liquidity.

Cronus plans to introduce staking and farms by the end of this week, increasing liquidity for key trading pairs.

Cronus also plans to shortly launch TetraSwap, a stableswap product which will bring 4-pools (USDC-USDT-nativeUST-nativeFRAX) & 3-pools (e.g madUSDC-ceUSDC-multiUSDC) to help tackle liquidity fragmentation between stables on Evmos.

Cronus is also airdropping to the Cosmos ecosystem to encourage the community to try out Cronus!Snapshots have already been taken and airdrops will be available to claim in a couple of weeks, with a vesting period to make sure the tokens released are evenly paced.
