An Unexpected End

A narrative poem of a natural disaster.

a gray and black wind forming a tornado over the plains

I never thought the day would come,
The alarm rang at five in the morning.
Before the coffee was brewed and drunk,
We left our home.

The wind was wild, and debris floated around.
No one could see anything but the rushing winds,
It was all around.
